As an Artist at GameBrains you will be creating art for games across multiple platforms, primarily 2D art. This includes creating characters, environments and User Interface. The Artist will be involved in the completion of the development process from start to finish and have a strong influence on our overall Art vision. The Artist will work closely with the Art Director to set the visual style and with the Lead Game Artist to understand the game's technical limitations.
The Ideal candidate should have the following qualities:
Specialized in original graphic design such as concept, texture creation, menu and interface design.
Designs high quality artwork for original designs.
Thorough understanding of the technical constrains of each platform.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the digital and traditional art techniques and principles of animation.
Solid skills in concepts, textures and graphic design
An excellent eye for typography, clean layout, purposeful color, and a fanatical attention to detail down to the pixel.
Posses a deep appreciation for simple, sleek, usable interfaces.
Strong knowledge of multiple development tool (Adobe Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator and Painter).
Excellent communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team.
Task driven with good time management skills and ability to work independently.
