1 Implementation of the Operations Department Manual and Operating Procedures.
2 Organise and execute all the stevedoring and Transit Base operations at Onne port Complex, all mid stream operations, Bonny LNG, Alscon jetty, Calabar and Warri.
3 Train, manage and control the AMS / Intel Stevedoring and Transit Sections as per the Organigram including the stevedoring contractors and casual labour. This covers:
• Stevedoring on board the ocean going vessels in all the above mentioned
locations.
• Barging of cargo from mid stream to FOT/FLT, Bonny LNG jetty
• Offloading/loading barges at the various locations ( direct delivery from/to ocean going vessels)
• Measurement of all cargo loaded, discharged, stuffed and unstuffed
• Transit documentation: landed tally sheets, provisional discharge report, statement of facts, cargo reconciliation reports, protest letters, etc.
• Personnel and working shifts
4 Have full knowledge of all the documentation and procedures necessary for the arrival, berthing, initial procedures and sailing of all ocean going vessels (NPA, Customs, NMA and all other authorities including NPA tariffs and regulations.
