Responsibilities
1. Pre-sales activities for the products, solutions and services offered by the business unit.
2. Conducting R&D on emerging technologies and constantly updated with technological development and make contributions to the Company’s overall technological direction.
3. Install, administer and maintain Oracle Databases, Advanced Database areas and additional areas like Application Server, Business Intelligence, J2EE or Security curriculum footprint.
4. Exploring advanced subjects such as Setup Web/Application Server, database, clustering, load-balancing, firewalls under UNIX/Red Hat Linux/Windows Server Family/Solaris environment.
5. Acquire an increasing knowledge on the various systems/applications that are used and provide support/consultation to customers on how to best utilize these systems/applications.
6. Conducting installation, configuration, upgrade, administration and monitoring of software products.
7. Support sales team in customer visit for product discussions.
8. Conduct product presentation and demonstration.
Requirements
1. Must possess Bachelor's Degree, or Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
2. Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in UNIX/Red Hat Linux/Windows Server Family/Solaris operating system and Oracle database administration experience including performance tuning and capacity management. Good concept on RDBMS and DBA principles (Oracle). Knowledge of Java would be an advantage.
3. Possess good technical knowledge in any of the following: Shared / SAN attached disk subsystems, SAN Fabric switch technology, tape subsystems, enterprise backup software, UNIX/Red Hat Linux/Windows Server Family/Solaris hardware platforms.
4. Good knowledge of troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
5. Able to work independently to meet project deadlines with minimum supervision.
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with people from various technical and business backgrounds and at all levels.
7. Must be proactive, team player and business-oriented.
8. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as a strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
