The company works with all energy forms (coal, gas, nuclear, fuel-oil, hydropower, wind) and is a leader in environmental protection (reduction of CO2 emissions, reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions..).
In financial year 2007/08, the company booked a record 38 gas turbines, including 18 GT26, a major contract for steam turbines and generators in a coal power plant in South Africa, an order for four conventional islands in Chinese nuclear power plants and several hydro projects in Brazil, China, Vietnam and Uganda. They also signed 10 operation and maintenance contracts (mainly for gas-fired power plants) and many small and medium sized orders, notably in Europe and USA.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the entire function of project planning and scheduling of project execution deliverables reflecting designated scope and level of detail, which include establishment of schedules, monitoring of progress compared to commitments, proactive identification of risks and opportunities, and recommendation of actions to meet project objectives.
Support Project Director in management of project planning and control related matters in a multidiscipline and multinational setting
Drive project strategy from tendering to final acceptance in order to complete projects ahead of schedule through working closely with engineering manager, procurement manager, site planner, contract manager, planner of turbomachines business and project managers of other key project participants.
Provide support to other functions within the organization on project management (in particular, project planning and scheduling) such as tender time schedule preparation, project cashflow projection, and executive project reportin
Oversees a team of Project Planners
Requirements:
Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent professional engineering qualification
At least 10 years' experience in project management, construction management, tendering and contracts
Experience in large power or oil & gas projects, or complex large infra projects
Strong communications skills with the ability to work in a multicultural environment
Extensive experience on major international projects
Sound understanding of contract law and general interest in technical issues
Self-confident with a strong personality and experience dealing with senior management and high-level negotiations
Fluency in written and spoken English is a must
Willing to travel overseas and spend a continuous periods abroad
