I am from England with a British passport currently employed as an ISSOW Training Consultant by Petrotechnics Ltd, Aberdeen. Travelling around the world delivering, training & coaching nationals and expats is an essential part of my job. Previously a resident of Kuwait I worked at the PTC Training Centre Ahmadi. I was an Oil & Gas Process Assessor/Instructor carrying out OJT refinery training, including delivering of workshop and classroom material to Kuwaiti nationals in Hydrocarbons. In 15 years working within the petrochemical industries I have accrued vast and varied experience from Operator level through to Shift Supervisor. My duties have included extensive OJT, safe, efficient running of a multi process petrochemical plant, authorising and controlling a Permit to Work System, all aspects of Health & Safety, delivery of technical training and co-ordinating NVQ training & assessments. I am experienced in carrying out risk assessments, safety monitoring and auditing. I have also been involved with commissioning new equipment on both manual and automated process plant. I have previous experience as a Fire Team Leader on a COMAH site responsible for two fully manned on-site fire appliances. I am familiar with working independently and unsupervised when any emergency shutdown took place. My positions have required me to have a thorough knowledge of Process & Plant technology, and control room operations. I am a self-motivated, goal orientated leader/team player with energy and a capacity for making things happen. I held a leading role in the team which effectively developed and delivered a number of Oil & Gas related training projects for the Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC I have excellent leadership skills, a pro-active & logical approach to the task in hand. Finally, I believe I have the ability and confidence to develop personnel & systems and to communicate effectively with the client and senior company management.
