You will see that I graduated from RMMC&H, Annamalai University in July 2001 B.sc occupational therapy. My field is very challenging to treat the physically challenged people, make the patients to re-come back to his normal life with fully independent. This makes me highly interest. My professional experience as an occupational therapist has been for almost 7 years now. Being in a multi-speciality & super speciality hospital, I have had the experience of working with varied patients ranging from Neurology and Neuro-surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, General Medicine, Plastic Surgery, Psychiatry and Rheumatology. Khoula hospital and Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences being a multispecialty hospital with various specialties has a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and I am proud to be a member in the Occupational therapy unit of the team. I have provided service for patients in the acute phase, rehabilitation phase and also community-based rehabilitation. I actively played a role in community rehabilitation by providing continuity of care at home. This involves visiting patient's home, assessing the environmental/ architectural barriers, ergonomic modifications and extended supervision at home, thus enabling my patients lead a better quality of life. I am also competent in the assessment, evaluation and treatment of the above-mentioned conditions using specific standardized and non-standardized assessment methods and evidence based treatment techniques and approaches. I am now seeking an opportunity to use my enthusiasm, experience, knowledge and commitment would enable me to make a valuable contribution to your organisation.
