Offer description

RESPONSIBILITIES.

- Overall be responsible to oversee contract department and full spectrum of QS jobs.

- Prepare overall project budgets, construction costs, progress claims/payment, variation orders and final accounts are prepared and controlled in accordance to work standards.

- Checking and auditing of bills of quantities and other tender documents. Ensure that the measurement of quantities for building materials specified for the BQ accurately reflects the specifications and drawings prepared by architects and engineers.

- Ensure tender procedures and contract arrangements are complied with company policies and procedures.

- Organize the registration of contractors and the shortlisting of contractors of tenders.

- Organize the calling of tenders, check tender evaluation and preparation of award reports.

- Participate in pre-contract negotiations and tender interviews.

- Source for pricing from supplier/contractor and work out competitive tender prices.

- Regular cost monitoring of projects including variations to ensure construction cost are within the agreed budgets.

- Any other ad-hoc requirements that are relevant.

REQUIREMENTS.

- Degree in Quality Surveying or equivalent.

- Minimum 3 years in manager position in Property or Building construction industry resourceful, detailed and able to meet tight deadline.

- Able to communicate effectively and ability to speak in different Chinese dialect is an added advantage.
